On the of 4 th of October 2021, under the vision of Roberta Annan, different stakeholders in the
fashion industry met in Paris at the MONA BISMARK MANSION to celebrate the launch of Impact
Fund For African Creatives (IFFAC) after months of hard work. Realising the need to propel the
creative sector forward with the much needed foundation, Roberta Annan, alongside many
stakeholders, launched a platform that help advance the works of creatives by encouraging
partnerships for a positive transformation in the creative economy.

The reason for the inception of IFFAC is to create an African-focused investment vehicle, with the aim
to tackle the growing problems faced in the African creative industry. Lack of capital, poor
management skills, infrastructure support, capacity building among other resources are just but a
few areas that IFFAC intends to concentrate on in the hopes of providing an anchor some sort to
support the undiscovered talent in the creative industry. IFFAC aims to work with developing
creatives across the creative industry, including but nit limited to Fashion, Film, Design, Culinary,
Advertising, Photography among other sectors.

Present at the event to help mark the beginning of an era were many stakeholders in the African
Fashion Industry where the was the launch of the collaboration between African Fashion Foundation
and five African designers, namely, Adebayo Oke – Lawal, Eli Kuame, Adama Paris, Emmanuel
Okoro and Alima Bello. The event was a fun filled night, with prominent guests gracing the occasion.
